PREMIER BARIATRIC ASSOCIATES WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY SUPPORT GROUPS
We have learned that those who attend support groups are more successful with their weight loss. It is for that reason that we highly encourage you to attend and become active in the Weight Loss Surgery Support Groups. If you are considering weight loss surgery but have not yet decided which procedure is best for you, attending a support group meeting may provide you an opportunity to talk with and ask questions of others who have had the various procedures.
Our Support Groups meet at 6:30 PM on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings are located in the Frederick C. Smith Conference Center (Near Magnolia Cafeteria) on the 6th floor of Miami Valley Hospital. Following a presentation, the group breaks out into smaller groups based on weight loss procedure. These smaller groups (Adjustable Gastric Band, RNY, Gastric Sleeve and Duodenal Switch) then discuss topics specific to each procedure. Conversations often include diet and nutrition, vitamins, weight loss success and barriers, and adjusting to life after surgery.
